Los Angeles, California & Lunenburg, Nova Scotia —International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP), a leader in English language assessment, is proud to announce its partnership with the Atlantic Canada Language Academy (ACLA) to support ACLA’s new transnational education initiative in Nador, Morocco. This collaboration ensures students in North Africa benefit from high-quality Canadian instruction supported by accurate, reliable, and secure English proficiency placement testing.
ACLA, a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) and proud member of Languages Canada, has partnered with the local NGO CECODEL in Nador to offer English programs that combine the benefits of an in-person classroom with live, high-quality instruction from a virtual teacher based in Canada.
The partnership with iTEP is fundamental to the success of this model, providing trustworthy and effective placement testing in a transnational setting.
Michelle Alcorn, President & CEO of ACLA, emphasized the strategic importance of this choice:
“We have had a great relationship with iTEP, so when the time came for a new project, it was an obvious choice for us. For this project, our students are in another continent, and it is critical that we have accurate placement levels that we can trust so our program is most effective at helping the students reach their goals. Thanks, iTEP, for your ongoing support!”
Supporting National Development and Local Talent
This initiative directly supports Morocco’s dedication to increasing English language ability nationally.
The first English program at CECODEL will begin November 10, 2025.
Through this partnership, iTEP and ACLA will deliver an effective and high-integrity program, providing access to quality education on a global scale.
