International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP) is delighted to strengthen our professional partnership with the government of Uzbekistan. As of March 23, 2023, the iTEP Academic Plus Exam has been officially approved by the Ministry of Higher Education for admissions purposes in the country.

Previously, in the Summer of 2022, the iTEP Academic Plus Exam was approved by the Ministry of Education as a recognized language proficiency certification allowing high school teachers to apply for a salary increase based on their iTEP scores. Presently, because of the recent expanded approval, university teachers who verify their language proficiency through the iTEP Academic Plus exam can also apply for a salary increase.

In addition, the Uzbekistan government has now approved the iTEP Academic Plus Exam as one of the vetted language testing options for university students. All public and private universities in Uzbekistan require proof of English proficiency for undergraduate and graduate students prior to graduation. The iTEP Academic Plus Exam joins other well-known tests such as TOEFL and IELTS as an approved exams by the Uzbek Ministry of Education.
