ACEI and iTEP International Extend Their Welcome Project© Initiative, Continuing to Assist Refugees in Education and Employment

Los Angeles, California – Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, Inc. (ACEI) and iTEP International proudly announce the ongoing efforts of The Welcome Project©, an initiative aimed at supporting refugees in the U.S. by facilitating the verification and evaluation of their international academic credentials for U.S. educational equivalence and determining their English language proficiency through an approved language assessment test.

The Welcome Project© addresses the specific needs of the displaced population in the U.S., combining ACEI’s expertise in international credential evaluation with iTEP’s renowned English language proficiency test. With a commitment to supporting displaced persons and refugees in realizing their educational and professional aspirations, ACEI and iTEP are making their services available to institutions and eligible individuals at substantially reduced fees.

Jasmin Saidi-Kuehnert, President and CEO of ACEI, emphasizes the sense of responsibility and moral duty to support the integration of refugees into society: “As an international credential evaluation service provider, we see it as our responsibility and moral imperative to do our part to support the integration of refugees, where possible, by offering our expertise in this field, at the onset of their resettlement in the U.S.”

Through The Welcome Project©, ACEI and iTEP International provide a comprehensive solution, making it affordable and accessible to institutional and organizational clients. This collaborative effort aims to expedite the recognition of individuals’ education achievements and language competency, enabling them to integrate into their new communities more swiftly as they pursue further studies or seek employment opportunities.

Todd Maurer, Chief Executive Officer of iTEP International, underscores the impact of this recognition on refugees’ lives: “We feel that through our combined expertise, individuals displaced by war and persecution will be able to receive recognition of their education achievements and language competency. This recognition will enable them to integrate into their newly adopted community much faster as they set out to further their studies or qualify for jobs.”

The Welcome Project© is available to U.S. schools, colleges, and universities, as well as employers dedicated to providing vulnerable and displaced individuals access to education and employment opportunities. The initiative ensures that participants meet academic and English language proficiency requirements, fostering a brighter future for those seeking refuge in the United States.
