iTEP 2020 – New Faces

iTEP International is pleased to welcome two new staff members to the ITEP HQ team!


Tania Arevalo

Tania joined iTEP in January 2020 as the iTEP Office Manager. Her duties include managing the day-to-day activities of the iTEP office including customer account data – both new and current. Additionally, Tania is bilingual and provides Spanish-language support to clients when needed.

She has a strong background in Counseling having worked with students at the East Los Angeles College Counseling Department, as well as the students from Vail, Bell Gardens and Montebello High Schools. Tania also has experience with English language testing having worked at ELS Language Center in Santa Monica.

Tania has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and a Master of Arts in Education, Guidance and Counseling, from Loyola Marymount University. She may be contacted via email at

Isabella joined iTEP in February 2020 as Director of Business Development. Her duties include promoting iTEP’s suite of professional and academic English proficiency exams within the USA and the western half of Canada. She will also work to increase the number of private K-12 schools, colleges, and universities that accept iTEP scores for international student admissions. Additionally, Isabella is fluent in Spanish and conversational-level in Mandarin.

She previously worked in the People’s Republic of China developing ESL curriculum and teaching. Isabella also served as a Public Affairs Specialist with the US Consulate General in Hong Kong promoting US diplomacy through youth outreach and social media. Most recently, she worked in an educational consulting company that specialized in recruitment and placement of Chinese students into high schools in the USA.

Isabella has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University – Fort Collins and a Master of Arts in International Studies from Concordia University. Additionally, she earned a Certificate in International Marketing through a study abroad program at the Universidad Internacional Menendez in Seville, Spain. She may be contacted via email at

The International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP) was introduced in 2008 to modernize English language assessment with on-demand scheduling, 24 hour grading, and accurate test data. iTEP provides a convenient and cost-effective testing option delivered in a highly secure environment.

iTEP offers a variety of assessment tools for university and secondary school admissions and ESL placement, hiring and employee assessment (including tests for specific industries), and iTEP Conversation, which assesses conversation skills in 30 minutes. All iTEP exams are graded by certified and trained native English speakers.

More than 800 colleges, universities, middle/high schools, and boarding schools in the USA and Canada accept iTEP results for admissions. Applicants can take iTEP at more than 500 test centers in 61 countries. iTEP International is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
