Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend and evening work

Salary Range: $45-58k annual, commensurate with experience
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Rater Training and Oversight- Recruit and train new raters on test scoring, application of rubrics, and flagging tests with irregularities
- Provide ongoing monitoring and development of global rating team to establish standardized, consistent scoring
- Update and manage online training course for rating team
- Regularly aggregate performance data of rating team
- Oversee result and appeal process
- Oversee and investigate test administration irregularities, including cases of misconduct
- Liaise and communicate with global partners (test resellers, high school and university admissions teams, local testing sites, agents, etc.)
- Update and manage testing policies and materials
- Support business development from an Academic standpoint
- Update and manage content for exam promotional materials
- Manage and maintain online test preparation courses for testing candidates
- Assist with product development, item review and analysis, and other Academic projects as needed
iTEP administers tests 24-7 to candidates around the world. The Academic Testing Manager supports a rating team across various time zones and is generally aware of and responsive to test administration needs in a timely fashion
Applicant Qualifications
Education- Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Language Assessment, or related
- Previous training/qualification in developing and applying rubrics for the evaluation of candidate writing and speaking samples
- Significant teaching experience across a variety of proficiency levels, working with students from a variety of language backgrounds
- Considerable experience with standardized language assessments, which may include item writing & review, test administration, scoring, and rater supervision
- Experience training raters on using rubrics to score exams
- Previous experience managing a team
- Online course development experience
- Cross-cultural living/working experience strongly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with a 2nd language preferred as well
- Ability to build rapport and credibility quickly
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a variable workload
- Proven ability to complete tasks with deadlines and work under pressure
- An excellent eye for detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Fully proficient in a variety of digital tools*, with strong facility in all core office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. or Google counterparts), Zoom and other teleconferencing tools, Canvas Learning Management System, and others
